Tragically for both of us Childe does not fling him into the trash compactor to die, he just gives him a little tug and guides him through the rubber curtains, into the back area. Into the dark and creepy hallway they go!!! Childe does not seem particularly bothered by the creepy atmosphere.]

No. Drow all have various professions and interests. I am a wizard because I found talent and interest with magic, specifically magic related to time, space, and probability.

In certain ways. Manipulating probability and the potentiality of something can have an effect on time and, often at the same instance, reality.

I would be very interested in learning and practicing more with influencing time and space so I may do something such as that.

It is called Dunamancy. Magic utilizing the energy of dunamis.

Most of the magic is about altering the probability of an action in your favor, though other spells manipulate gravity, or even test the limits of using pieces of time. Slowing it, speeding it up, pulling from your unused selves left to decay in realities not taken.
